Dear Sir or Madam,

Sample Answer:

I am writing to inform you that last week I stayed in your hotel “The Radisson Blu” for two days to attend a business conference, and unfortunately misplaced some important documents in the room I stayed in.

From 18th to 19th February, I stayed in room 638 in your hotel and attended a conference at the Business Hall on 18th February. I departed the next day and just after I reached my home, I found that I’ve left documents unattended in my hotel room, perhaps inside the drawer that was placed beside my bed. All of those documents are placed inside a blue folder with my name “Will Smith” written on top of it.

In particular, the documents that I left in your hotel room are utterly important because they contain confidential financial information, few business agreements, a presentation, and some notes that I took during the meeting. Without those documents, I would be in great trouble, because, I need to submit those original agreements and all financial documents to my company within next week. So, I need to get those documents back urgently.

Hence, I would like to request you, as soon as you find those documents, please send me via express courier and, don’t forget to charge the courier cost from my credit card, which information you already have.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sincerely,

Will Smith
