Tense is the form of a verb, in English grammar, that takes to show the time it happened. In English grammar, there are three main tenses. They are-
The Present tense, The Past tense, and The Future tense. The past tense in English is generally used to talk about past things or events. There are four types of past tense in English.

Past Indefinite or Simple past Tense

Among all four forms of past tense, the first one is the past indefinite tense or sometimes calls simple past tense. The past indefinite is generally used to indicate a completed action, task or event that occurred at a specific point in time in the past.
